The Tuesday Morning Music Club sponsors a student division, the Junior Extension. Student members range in age from first grade to high school seniors. Admission to the Junior Division is by audition and permission of one's private music teacher. Applications forms are available upon request by emailing the Junior Extension Advisory Committee coordinator.

Most members represent the best of young musical talent in the Pioneer Valley. Many past members are award-winning students who have gone on to impressive musical careers.

The Junior Extension holds public recitals at 2:00 p.m. on the first Sunday of the month, from November to April. This season, all of scheduled events will be held in Asbury Hall at Trinity United Methodist Church, 361 Sumner Avenue, Springfield.

Guest speakers and professional performers offer insights into their particular musical field at each performance, which is followed by a reception. The March program is for members of the Tuesday Morning Music Club. At the Awards Concert in April, student scholarships for musical study are presented.

Other activities of the Junior Extension include: social events, field trips, open rehearsals of the Springfield Symphony and Master Musician Classes.
